If troubles keep recurring,
you should check the barrier first.
Applicable skin layer
1
Epidermis — color, protective barrier
2
Upper dermis — texture, moisture
3
Lower dermis — elasticity
4
Fat layer — volume
5
Fascia — supporting membrane
6
Muscle — Balance
7
Bone — Basics
It doesn’t end with just the clinic procedure.
Why do breakouts keep coming back?
Obliv's Treatment Guide
Surface aging is caused by several factors acting at the same time. We design by first determining which factor is the main problem.
If you have these concerns
No matter how well I care for my skin, melasma keeps coming back.
The pores look enlarged, and the skin is bumpy.
Becomes red or stings right after washing your face
Obliv's Treatment Guide
These concerns all seem like "surface problems," but the underlying layers and mechanisms are different.
Before deciding on a procedure, we first determine which type it is.
If the effects didn’t last long even after laser treatment, the skin barrier may be the cause.
Obliv adds barrier strengthening and protection before and after the main procedure.
STEP 01 · BEFORE
Barrier reinforcement
Before the procedure, it replenishes the skin barrier.
It prepares so the treatment effect reaches exactly the intended area.
STEP 02 · CORE
This procedure
Proceed with the procedure while the protective barrier remains intact.
Side effects are reduced, and effectiveness is increased.
STEP 03 · AFTER
Barrier Protection
After the procedure, it helps close the skin again.
It blocks irritation and, with soothing ingredients,
helps recovery so the effects last longer.
The procedure alone isn’t enough.
Obliv designs for what comes after treatment.
The skin is renewed every 28 days.
Skin cells are born in the deepest layer and rise to the surface over 28 days before naturally shedding.
Understanding this cycle also helps explain why "consistent care" is important.
DAY 1
DAY 3–7
Cells closely
connected
DAY 8–15
Filled with moisturizing and protective ingredients
DAY 16–23
Protection layer complete
on the surface
DAY 24–28
Naturally eliminated
If you receive it once and stop there, the next generation of cells will again be in a weakened state.
You need to repeat it consistently for cells to develop the habit of becoming healthy on their own. Oblive’s recommended retreatment interval is designed around this principle.
If the problem is different, the approach should be different.
Obliv's Access
Designed as a single flow: select the wavelength suited to the depth and type of pigment → selectively break down only the pigment → follow through with maintenance to help prevent recurrence.

Obliv's Choice
If you have had an experience where it was not resolved with just one laser treatment, in most cases the type was not properly identified. Obliv determines the type first during the pre-procedure consultation.
Skin Renewal treatment, equipment suited to my skin type
Instead of listing the same cards, we grouped them into 4 types.
First check which type your concern falls into above, then choose the gear below.
A · hue · pigment
These are devices that address melasma, blemishes, and uneven skin tone.
Pico Alex
PICO LASER · Layer 1·2
Recommended
When you need to remove deep pigmentation, stubborn dark spots, or tattoos.
Pigment particles are physically broken down using picosecond ultrashort pulses. With less heat generation, damage to surrounding tissue is reduced, and the risk of side effects such as pigmentation is low.
Brighton
Pigment Laser · Layer 1
Recommended
When melasma, dark spots, and redness are all present together.
A wavelength selectively absorbed by pigment and blood vessels breaks down melanin and hemoglobin. Applied to blemishes, melasma, and vascular dilation, it minimizes damage to surrounding tissue.
Noblin
LASER TONING · Layer 1
Recommended
Dark spot maintenance · regular tone care.
Using laser toning, repeated low-energy stimulation helps suppress melanin production. It is used to even out skin tone and improve overall complexion.
B · Skin texture · Radiance
These are devices that address dull tone, rough texture, and reduced radiance.
U-Pulse Fraxel
FRACTIONAL LASER · Layer 1·2·3
Recommended
When the goal is overall skin regeneration and firmness.
The laser is delivered in thousands of tiny column-like beams. It damages only the treated areas while preserving the surrounding skin, promoting rapid regeneration. Full-layer regeneration and improved elasticity.
MiraJet
JET INJECTION · Layer 1·2
Recommended
When you need hydration and brightening together / When pain and sensitivity are a major concern.
Delivers active ingredients (HA, brightening, and regenerating ingredients) into the skin at high pressure without needles. Suitable for sensitive skin.
C · Pores · Scars
These are devices that address enlarged pores, acne scars, and uneven skin texture.
Potenza
RF Microneedling · Layer 1·2
Recommended
When pores and acne scars are your main concerns.
Precisely delivers RF energy into the skin with microneedles. RF acts only at the depth reached by the needles, stimulating the dermis without damaging the epidermis. Downtime is relatively short.
CO2 laser
RESURFACING · Layer 1·2
Recommended
When acne scars are deep and you can tolerate the recovery period.
Using a CO2 laser that is absorbed by water, it gradually removes the epidermis and upper dermis to stimulate regeneration. It is effective for deep scars, enlarged pores, and wrinkles. Recovery time is needed, but the results are long-lasting.
D · Parallel · Maintenance
These are devices that accelerate recovery and help maintain the effects when used with other treatments.
Skin booster
INJECTABLE · Layer 1·2
Recommended
When you want to combine it with other treatments to make the results last longer.
Inject regenerative ingredients such as HA, PDRN, exosomes, and growth factors into the upper dermis. Hydration replenishment + enhanced regenerative signaling + improved radiance and texture.
CONSULTATION
Which type my concern falls into
If you're not sure,
we first determine it during the consultation.
The surface is the final finishing layer.
Even if skin texture improves, if sagging remains, the overall impression does not change.
Obliv sees Skin Renewal as not a standalone treatment, but the finishing step of the plan.
If sagging, volume loss, and contour changes are all present together, try combining it with the page below.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
For melasma and dark spots, which laser is right?
Pigmentation spots concentrated in the epidermis respond well to PicoAlex and Brighton. For melasma distributed deep in the dermis, an approach that repeatedly suppresses melanin production with Noblin laser toning is needed. We first diagnose the depth and type of pigmentation, then design the treatment.
How many treatment sessions are needed for acne scars?
Although it depends on the depth and extent of the scar, we recommend 3 to 5 treatment sessions with Potenza (RF microneedling) or a CO2 laser. It is most effective to have them at 4- to 6-week intervals, in line with the skin cell turnover cycle (28 days).
Why is sun protection important after laser treatment?
After laser treatment, the skin becomes temporarily more sensitive to ultraviolet rays. UV rays can stimulate pigment cells and cause hyperpigmentation, so to maintain the effects of the procedure, you must use a sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher.
Can sensitive skin also undergo laser treatment?
Yes, that is possible. Mirajet delivers ingredients without needles, so it can be used even on sensitive skin, and the skin booster helps strengthen the skin barrier. Obliv checks the condition of the skin barrier before treatment and, if necessary, strengthens the barrier first.
What treatments help reduce pores?
We recommend Potenza (RF microneedling) as an effective treatment for reducing enlarged pores. It precisely delivers RF energy into the skin to control sebum production and restore dermal elasticity. With minimal downtime, it’s easy to fit into your daily routine.
